WORDPOOL ARTIST WORKSHOP

Lisa Wigham is also joining us during Wordpool for her wonderful Making Books by Hand: Trade Secrets Workshop. Whether looking to embark on making your first book, or experienced in bookmaking and looking for new ideas, this workshop can help with techniques and concepts!

There will be demonstrations on both traditional book making processes and playful modern twists. As well as ‘book making surgery time’ for help with design, making and distribution.

Wigham is the co-founder of the Two a.m. Press, a production house for artists books and prints which are distributed internationally as artists’ multiples. http://www.twoampress.com The Trade Secrets workshop takes place on 9th November, 1.30 – 4.30pm at Blackpool Central Library. This workshop is very close to being sold out so please buy your ticket early if you would like to participate. Tickets: £3 per person to include refreshments at the Library Café. Tickets are available from the Grundy Art Gallery. All materials will be provided and participants will be able to take away their hand-made book.
